Abstract

This paper has the objective is to think about historical foundation of the evaluation of quality in higher education and the self-assessment of university careers. It made a deep search of the bibliography and it took references selfassessment of two public universities of Bolivia. The purpose of self-assessment is the accreditation not the continuous improvement. On the other hand there is an successful self-assessment process brought to the accreditation.
