Abstract

The present systematic literature review aimed to analyze the current status of the crime of extortion and the use of digital media in Peruvian law. A qualitative approach, an analytical and exploratory method, a grounded theory design, and the PRISMA methodology were used to obtain a final set of research from the Google Scholar, Alicia Concytec, Scopus, Redalyc and Dialnet databases for a five-year period, from 2020 to 2025. The final set of studies compiled is classified into two categories: extortion and digital media. It is concluded that extortion has experienced significant development over time and is proliferating significantly in
Peruvian society, facilitated by digital media.
