Effects of the self-instructional module on the investigative competences of students of a private university

Abstract

The objective of the research was to know the effect of the application of the self-instructional module in the research competences of education students, with a quasi-experimental design of applied type and a sample made up of 43 students. The questionnaire instrument on investigative competences obtained a validity of content and construct, also the degree of reliability was high (0.92).
The results show that the application of the self-instructional module increased the investigative skills in the students, finding significant differences between the control and experimental group, where the latter obtained a higher score with an important
difference expressed in the effect size 0.98.
