Validation of the Rosenberg self-esteem scale students from La Paz city

Given the importance of being able to measure self-esteem in adolescents, the validity and reliability of the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale was determined in the context of secondary school students belonging to two educational units in the city of La Paz, with the sample consisting of 983 students. The results obtained show that the scale possesses satisfactory psychometric properties having obtained a Cronbach’s alpha .966. Scales were elaborated according to sex and age, likewise it was found in the content validity analysis that the validity index is in satisfactory levels.
