The purpose of this work is to expose the development of mathematics education in Colombia, taking into account the intervention of its main reference actors and the social scenarios where they have been exposed, subject to scrutiny by the community. Conceptual Evolutionism of Toulmin is assumed as conceptual referents; to collect, organize, and process pertinent information, varied methodical perspectives were used; so globally it can be characterized as inductive because tendencies were revealed from the systematic review of information. It is concluded that mathematics education in Colombia is still growing.
