Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase pro-social behavior in children in the 5th grade of a school in the city of El Alto, based on the development of a social skills program, it was named “A Friendly Hand” and it was applied to an experimental group (GE) of 30 students. The type of research was experimental with a quasi-experimental design. We worked with two groups: the G.E. and the
control group (G.C.). The Pro-sociality Scale (Caprara, Steca, 2005) was used in its version translated into Spanish, in the pre-test and post-test phases in both groups. The results obtained in contrast between both groups indicate that the G.E. increased the pro-sociality with 36.77% being the significant difference between the G.C. of 30.2%.
