Abstract

Stress is a state that affects well-being, in this case of the volunteer firefighters of the 2nd “Santa Bárbara” company; who when carrying out their work are exposed to stress, for this reason a comprehensive work strategy was developed that influenced their daily life, the Perceived Stress Scale (PES) test was applied that measures the perception of psychological stress and the program was implemented Mindfulness MBSR, which seeks to reduce stress based on meditation. The research approach was quantitative, experimental with a quasi-experimental design, participants were randomly assigned to the control group and the experimental group. At the end of the application of the MBSR Mindfulness program, it was observed that stress levels decreased, however, not significantly due to the increase in fires and heat sources.
