Abstract

The increasing numbers year after year of children who show low levels of self-esteem, reveal an uncertain and unflattering future for the next young people and adults, who will be able to contribute little or nothing to a society that must stop being indifferent
to an evident and present problem nowadays. For this reason, the general objective of the research is to apply a storytelling workshop to develop self-esteem in 1st grade children. The type of research used was explanatory and applied with a quantitative approach, the research design was quasi-experimental, longitudinal and causal transectional, in addition to the A-B-A
reversion design. The application of this story workshop gave positive results, increasing the level of global self-esteem.
