Abstract

Democratic coexistence is worrisome today for the social and political situation of Peru, because of this, this problem was investigated in the school context of primary education under the development and application of a program of socio-assertive approach (USA), applied by a type of pre-experimental design in 46 third-grade students from a district in Lima ( = 8.9 years), for which a rating scale was designed as an instrument of measurement (ad hoc), the results allowed concluding that the program improved democratic coexistence in more than half of participants (sig. =, 000; p <.05); this improvement sustains that school social learning is also democratic, and depends a lot on the student’s predisposition to achieve this style of assertive and social coexistence.
