Abstract

The research that was carried out, aims to create an assessment instrument that evidences the inclusive perception of university students in the city of Arica. For this, it has been considered to work with the Santo Tomas University with careers in Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nursing and Psychology. To demonstrate the inclusive perception of students, an instrument has been created that focuses on three dimensions: knowledge on inclusive issues, inclusive experience and discrimination, which was validated by three experts working in the field of inclusion in higher education. This instrument was refined by exploratory factor analysis. By way of conclusion, women are the ones with the most knowledge on inclusion issues and the youngest (equal to or less than 19 years old) are the ones with the most inclusive experience, which could generate a possible look at what is occurring in
recent years regarding education and inclusion. On the other hand, the most adult women (from 22 to 23 years old) are the ones who discriminate the most, perhaps because of the lack of practice in the area and that they also attend the Nursing career, a career that cares about the integral health of the people, as stated in the discharge profile.
